"Dustin" was a beautiful boy, who left us way too early, dying of cancer at the age of four.
He was never very cooperative in front of a camera and his pictures don't do him justice...so I have chosen some photos that illustrate one of his more exciting attributes.......
Aside from having excellent bone, a good hard topline, good coloration, strong front and rear, impressive overall good looks and being a BIG boy.....
Dustin had a talent!
Dustin could FLY!!
By taking still frames from a video we are able to bring you something rather difficult to see with the naked eye....and not always executable by an elkhound....a true "flying trot."
It's easy to see in this photo, look at the shadows. All four feet are definitely off the ground.
Neat, huh?!
Wanna see it again?
Dustin's movement was excellent from any angle.
Dustin saying "hello" to daughter "Mary".
Dustin was bred by Sue Kaplan, and is shown here with his co-owner, Kathleen Hamilton....our partner, co-breeder and co-owner of most of the Alpha dogs.
Sleep in peace, with no more pain, beautiful, beautiful boy.
